SUPPORT PROGRAMS
☼ Hygiene-4– Heroes: Save toiletries to donate to VA for unscheduled and emergency hospital admissions.
☼ Collect gently used clothing for homeless veterans and annual ‘Stand-Downs’ especially, women veterans clothing.
☼ Collect books, magazines, puzzles & games to donate to VA hospital for veterans reading & recreation rooms.
☼ Have a special meal to honor all lodge veterans & have a program to introduce them and their experiences.
☼ “SPECIAL MEAL” can be an easy “All-American” lunch of Hamburger, Frys topped off with Ice Cream Soda & program: Self-intros, then intro to LOOM, Mooseheart & Moosehaven.
☼ ‘Special’ meal (periodically) to identify & recognize special veterans from the community: WW II, Pearl Harbor, Bataan Death March, EX-POWs, D-Day, Pacific Islands, Korea, Merchant Marines, Submariners, Gliders, Legion of Valor, ETC…
PLEASE, before they are all gone, help us find them!
☼ Reach into local veterans organizations whenever you want help, and advertising to & inviting their members.
☼ Remember to invite youth groups to help support “THEIR” programs: Boy/Girl/Sea Scouts, ROTC, ETC…
☼ D-Day, Flag Day, Memorial/Veterans Day, ETC… DO SOMETHING!!
☼ (Let us help share some of YOUR programs, photographs,
successes, obstacles, partners & ideas).
