Women Of The Moose

It is that time of year for nominating and hopefully each of you have a full board of Officers stepping up for the ensuing year. If not, please keep trying. We need to keep our chapters going to help support Mooseheart and Moosehaven. They are depending on us. If you have questions, need help or encouragement please contact your Chapter Advisors for assistance.

We will be holding a WOTM training session at the Mid-Year Conference in Costa Mesa on Thursday March 23rd starting at 9:00 AM. More training sessions will be posted on the CA-NV website and Moose International once they are confirmed. Remember this training is for the 2023-2024 Chapter year. Training is mandatory for some Officers to obtain degrees or personal honors. Other Officers, Chairman and sisters are encouraged to attend to assure we are following the General Laws of the Women of the Moose.

This year we are also trying something new-I was asked if I wanted to hold a meeting for the women if I would change it to a morning meeting so those on the Lodge board can attend the Officer’s luncheon without a conflict. Our meetings are packed with sessions and lunches that all can attend but we still want to make sure the women have a separate meeting. With that, we will be trying a breakfast meeting on Saturday morning. After reviewing options, it will be a bake shop breakfast consisting of Danish, muffins, croissants, coffee, and juices. This will replace the normal Higher Degree luncheon and will be open to all sisters. Again, this is a trial basis. We will still have door prizes and raffles.

Hope to see you all in Costa Mesa to get together with each other, share ideas, learn something new and have fun.

As Clint would say:

“There has to be something in every role that interests you.”
