Hello y’all,

I just love saying y’all after returning from Nashville.  What a great Music City and great International convention. The Opryland Hotel was amazingly beautiful and huge.  We all got our exercise.

I am both honored and humbled to be chosen as your new DGR.  What a shock it was receiving that “call letter” last January.  I genuinely believe in the Mooseheart mission of caring for children and seniors and am glad to be able to serve this Fraternity.

The future of our fraternity looks very promising.  Moose International is taking steps to make sure our organization is competitive with other organizations vying for members.

One way is they have introduced the Moose Rewards Program.  Earn points for helping the Moose grow and prosper, then redeem your points for valuable awards, gifts, and experiences.  It’s simple, you can earn points for sponsoring members, attending meetings, holding office, or just renewing your dues. Every member has an opportunity to participate and your points are awarded automatically without any paperwork or submissions. Please visit www.mooseintl.org for many more details.

Another new program is the Lodge Grant Program. In the inaugural year of the Program, the Supreme Council approved grants to 106 lodges across the Fraternity.  The Lodge Grant program is a great way to help improve the state of our facilities

This year, the Women of the Moose tailored our foundation of officers and chairmen to suit the needs of our chapters. The new structure will help us build on that foundation.

Another step taken is the introduction of Moose Online Training.  Courses offers are: 2- HOTT, Lodge Administration Assessment Test, Moose Units Audits and Trustee Duties. These on-line training courses can be found at http://www.mooseintl.org/members/index.php/online-training/.  Please see our training coordinator, Cheryl Volden’s, message on this website for more specific information.

Moose International will be working with professional marketing teams to insure the future of our organization.  Those findings will be presented at the 2016 International Convention in St Louis.

I have meet so many wonderful friends along my moose path I am sincerely grateful for this organization.  I look forward to traveling in the coming year and making many more wonderful friends.  Invite me for a visit so we can chat.  Thank you for believing with me in the Mooseheart Mission.

In Friendship and Fellowship,

Carol Allen
